A fresh and crunchy red cabbage salad with apple, honey and vinegar. Ideal as a side dish or salad during autumn, winter and spring.

Instructions

  1. Quarter the red cabbage, remove the core and slice it into thin strips. Grate the apple with the peel on.
  2. Place the red cabbage strips in a bowl and salt them. Knead with your hands for 5 minutes until the cabbage softens and releases its juices. Drain these juices.
  3. Add the honey, rapeseed oil and vinegar and toss to combine. Gently fold in the grated apple and season the salad with salt and pepper.
  4. Let the red cabbage salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
