Rotkohlsalat mit Apfel (Red Cabbage Salad with Apple)
A fresh and crunchy red cabbage salad with apple, honey and vinegar. Ideal as a side dish or salad during autumn, winter and spring.
Instructions
- Quarter the red cabbage, remove the core and slice it into thin strips. Grate the apple with the peel on.
- Place the red cabbage strips in a bowl and salt them. Knead with your hands for 5 minutes until the cabbage softens and releases its juices. Drain these juices.
- Add the honey, rapeseed oil and vinegar and toss to combine. Gently fold in the grated apple and season the salad with salt and pepper.
- Let the red cabbage salad marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
